In addition to the volumetric scanner, we offer standard digital, panoramic and cephalometric radiography.
Panoramic: We use the Instrumentarium OP-100D. This digital unit provides high-quality diagnostic images. Panoramic projections are available in standard and orthogonal (contacts open) formats. Because the image is digital, it can be enhanced (brightness, contrast, and gamma) to best show all structures. Digital also means each radiographic image is an original to be shared with co-treating colleagues. Say goodbye to poor-quality duplicates!
Cephalometric: Lateral and posterior-anterior cephalometrics are offered at Ahead Diagnostics. Like the panoramic, each image is enhanced to bring out all necessary landmarks in great detail. This unit utilizes the same high quality tubehead, sensor and technology as the panoramic unit.

All intraoral images are taken with paralleling technique to keep distortion to a minimum.
Digital radiology has many advantages. One of these is the ability to enhance the image instead of re-exposing the patient.
There are also various ways to view the images that could provide information not seen on standard film.
Below are examples of standard, edge-detect, and embossed images. Our software allows these various screens to increase the diagnostic value.
