Each implant study is unique and images are provided accordingly. The ultimate goal of each study is determine the height, width, and density of bone, as well as locate the position of the inferior alveolar nerve and maxillary sinuses.
On this representative study, the axial scout image demonstrates where the cross-sectional cuts were made. Cross-sectional images through the area of interest and a thin panoramic cut are included.
This panoramic view cut from the scan data will provide an overall view of the patient's dentition and related anatomy.
3-dimensional images may be very useful in case presentation. Note the lower right image is the lingual view of the edentulous area to demonstrate the contour of the mandible.
